Who We Are

We have improved the lives of 52 resettlement townships through the provision of socio-economic projects.

The VRA Resettlement Trust Fund (the Trust Fund) is a quasi-Government organization established in 1996 by the Government of Ghana, represented by the then Ministry of Mines and Energy and the Volta River Authority (VRA) to take care of the socio-economic needs of the 52 Resettlement Townships created during the construction of the Akosombo Dam. These townships are spread over six (6) Regions covering twenty (20) districts in Ghana.

What we do

We provide projects of direct benefit to the 52 resettlement townships in the areas of Environmental amelioration, Social welfare, Public health, Education, Water, Sanitation and any other needs of direct benefit to the resettlement townships.
